Senate Judiciary Committee passes bill on reverse payment settlements

On 15 October 2009 the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee passed the Preserve Access to Affordable Generics Act (S. 369, 111th Congress) which would outlaw certain reverse payment settlements. This was immediately commended by the FTC Chairman Leibowitz. The status of the bill can be monitored at the Library of Congress website. [Juha Vesala]
